2nd blizzard dropped 20" on us

Here's Evan on the snowmound in our front yard. This was after one day of melted snow then a second blizzard.

When the FIRST plow came down our road one week and one day after the first snowflake hit the ground, Evan and Jaden yelled to the plows"Leave our snow alone" ... hahah!

50 inches total and much needed QT!

Well they said we'll never see another snow like this in our lifetime. How do they know that anyway? I'd love to see another snow like the one we had Feb 5th and 6th, then again on the 9th.

We got 30 inches from the first snow. Then a few days later my area got another 20 inches. That's 50 inches of snow. WOW! I think that is cool. Well I guess I would. I could play hookie from work and I have an awesome husband who does all the shoveling with no complaints! Thanks Patrick...

One of the best things about this snow was the time off of work. Ya know, I feel bad a lot of the time about how lil I actually see my kids. And I am s0000 'OK' with being at home. I mean, I've been off all this time and I hear others saying "Uh, I'm ready to go back to work by now" or "I've got to get out of this house" but not me. Not that my job is bad bc it isn't. It's quite good actually. I just love being at home with my kids more than anything!

Most moms 'would' say that. But I could be a stay at home mom and be very happy. Never thought "I" would say that. They bring me such joy. I just like to watch them watch TV, or watch them eat, chew, swallow. Their laughter makes me laugh. I REALLY love to watch them sleep. Their faces - just so perfect and honest. These are simple lil things but they are most facinating to me.

They just amaze me and I am so blessed to have them in my life. So if anyone wondered how we faired during the 2 blizzards of 2010, I'd say we faired really well. We played LOTS of games, played in the snow, watched movies we haven't watched yet, and just enjoyed each other!

Finally settled. The blizzard is over. Just some houses on my street. I swear this looks like a Thomas Kinkade picture.

The Father/Daughter dance

For Girl Scouts, Jenni's troop was in charge of putting together the Father/Daughter dance this year. The theme was King/Princess. Jenni looked beautiful...see for yourself!
